At the start of 2020, I joined NBCUniversal's first-ever streaming service, Peacock, as their first and sole motion designer. Leading up the pre-launch, I helped establish Peacock's visual brand identity and created promos that showcased the platform's diverse slate of content. Despite the unique challenges of launching during the pandemic, Peacock debuted to a well-received reception, particularly with its innovative free-tier subscription plan.
During my time there, I worked across a wide range of teams from original series to covering the Olympics and major sporting events, while also learning Figma for mobile and app design platforms. One of the first original shows I contributed to was We Are Lady Parts, a critically-acclaimed comedy about a Muslim all-woman punk band. Originally inspired by a Robert Mapplethorpe photograph, it was important for me while art directing the key art to maintain the show’s rebellious-yet-charming tone. After an exhilarating start-to-finish, the promotional assets were then displayed in both in the U.S. and the UK.
